Georgia State Council News  South Carolina Pres Debates4/20/2003The South Carolina Democatic Party has announced their DEM Weekend 2003. It will be held May 2-4. This weekend will feature the first televised presidential debate. Hosted be ABC News and moderated by George Stephanopolous, the debate will be on Saturday May 3 at the Longstreet Theatre on the campus of the University of South Carolina campus. All nine of the formal candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination will be featured. These are Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun, Gov. Howard Dean, Senator John Edwards, Congressman Dick Gephardt, Senator Bob Graham, Senator John Kerry, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, Senator Joseph Lieberman, and Rev. Al Sharpton. The IAM is organizing a rally to correspond with the debates. This rally will be on Saturday May 3, the time and place hasn't been confirmed. We need as many members as possible to attend.
